MagnaChip是一家模拟及混合信号非半导体存储器专业企业
非半导体存储器是指除半导体存储器(D-RAM, Nand flash等)以外的所有半导体的统称。其中模拟半导体将光、音频、压力等模拟信号还原成电脑可以识别的数码信号，或者起到将数码信号变成模拟信号的作用，混合信号半导体具有同时处理模拟信号和数码信号的作用。

MagnaChip是一家具有30多年历史的企业
1979年成立的LG半导体是 MagnaChip的母体，2004年从海力士的非半导体存储器事业部门独立出来，以 MagnaChip半导体的身份全新起航。

MagnaChip是一家在美国纽约证券交易所上市的企业
2011年3月11日，MagnaChip在纽约证券交易所通过普通股募集正式公开。MagnaChip的上市股票在纽约证劵交易所以公司原有的证券符号“MX”进行实时交易。MagnaChip是首家未在韩国国内上市就直接进军纽约证券交易所的韩国企业。

韩国国内的事业基地位于首尔、青州和龟尾三地，青州和龟尾的生产设施(Fab)的月产能达到8英寸晶圆136000片。美国、欧洲、中国、台湾、香港等地均设有办事处。员工总数约3300名。截止2010年末，销售额达7亿7000万美元，主要客户有三星电子、LG Display和日本的夏普等。
